In 1978 Michael started an internship in Boston with the Associated Press, shooting news and politics during the day. By night he was getting into the punk and new wave scene via the local MIT college radio station WTBS. The first show Grecco shot that is part of his Days of Punk project was Akron’s finest ensemble. Indeed, it was the first concert of DEVO's first tour after their major record deal. As such, the band was already gathering a following of fans from Neil Young to Brian Eno, from David Bowie to Debbie Harry. Shooting under low light at the Paradise Club, Grecco captured the perfect moment of DEVO’s groundbreaking visual and sonic creativity. This is the only print in the Portfolio of the band in concert, as it best captures the essence of DEVO’s live performance.
This print is signed and numbered by the photographer and includes the original signatures of Devo.
